Terms of Use
This is a reference translation of the Japanese original. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using Echoes of Forest (the “Lodge”), a whole-house private lodge operated by Gensosya Inc. (the “Company”). By making a reservation or staying at the Lodge, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. Scope
These Terms apply between you and the Company in relation to reservations, stays and use of the facilities at the Lodge. Matters not covered here are governed by applicable law and general practice.
2. Formation of a reservation
A reservation is made through the Company’s booking system or an affiliated booking site, and is formed when the Company accepts it. Please provide accurate information when booking, including the lead guest’s name, contact details and the number of guests.
The Company may decline a reservation, or cancel one after it has been made, in any of the following cases:
- The information provided is found to be false
- There are reasonable grounds to believe these Terms will be breached
- A guest is found to have a contagious disease
- Accommodation cannot be provided due to natural disaster, facility failure or other unavoidable circumstances
- Clause 10 (Exclusion of organised crime groups) is breached
3. Rates and payment
The base rate is ¥58,000 per night for up to 6 guests (tax included). From the 7th guest, ¥6,000 per person per night is added (tax included). A cleaning fee of ¥6,000 (tax included) also applies.
Rates vary by date and plan. The amount payable is the amount shown on the booking screen at the time of reservation. For payment methods and timing, please see our Act on Specified Commercial Transactions notice.
4. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation fees follow the cancellation policy displayed on the booking screen at the time of reservation. For reservations made through an affiliated booking site (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.), that site’s cancellation policy applies.
To change or cancel a reservation, please contact the booking site you used, or email support@echoesofforest.jp.
5. Check-in and check-out
- Check-in: 16:00–21:00
- Check-out: by 11:00
- A late fee of ¥2,000 (tax included) per 15 minutes applies after 11:00

6. Number of guests
Maximum occupancy is 10 guests (plus one baby cot). Staying with more guests than reserved is not permitted, both because we are required to keep a guest register and for safety management.
